I spotted the story in Hazel's English language notebook whilst I was helping her revise for her exams. I then asked her to type the story up on the computer, and we discussed possible edits to strengthen it. Hazel made the necessary changes and I sent the story off to the editor of Tempo.
Lo and behold, within an hour later the editor got back to me with news that Stranger Danger was in the queue for publication on Tempo's fiction page.
The story appeared in last month's (July's) hard copy of the magazine and is now available to read online:
