
Anyhow, I wrote a limerick in honour of Roger Moore which turned better than most of my efforts and was published in the Daily Mail on the last day of May.
Here it is:
Of Roger Moore we were all fond;
the most famous spy’s mantle he donned.
And what can be sweeter
than telling St. Peter
“The name, my dear fellow, is Bond.”?
So farewell, Mr. Bond!
