I get the feeling that there are a couple of places I can prune the story down, and will have to run it past a trusted reader.
I've edited the finished item twice, but will probably have to let it cool a while then give it the final once over.
Strangely enough, last weekend I adapted a story idea into an abridged 'Lost' Canterbury Tale, and discovered it won't have to be lengthened that much before it's a viable Tale. What amazes me is that one Tale can take four months to write, while another can be completed in just four days.
Anyhow, more on The Manciple's Second Tale next week.
