Fingers crossed - onward and upward!
Great news! Robin Hood & Friar Tuck: Zombie Killers - A Canterbury Tale by Paul A. Freeman is storming up the Amazon ratings - particularly the zombie-lit ratings. Yesterday the alternatively titled Monk's Second Tale was in the top 40. Today it's in the top 30.
Fingers crossed - onward and upward!

Just found out today that Everyday Poets wants to publish the abridged version of my Knight's Second Tale in an upcoming anthology.
This will be the first abridgement of one of my Canterbury Tales that's been published. Abridgements are a useful tool I've developed to aid in balancing and pacing the full-length Canterbury Tale I write from the truncated version. Seems I'm doing something right on my Canterbury Tales project after all! Since I'm planning on blitzing publishers with my Canterbury Tales project, I thought I'd revisit The Squire's Second Tale for an edit.
I'm so glad I did, too. This was my first 'new' Canterbury Tale. It garnered much praise at the time I wrote it, but only now that I've become more fluent in narrative poetry can I see the improvements needed in the rhythm and the beat of this poem. Anyhow, we live and learn. Hopefully by the end of next week The Squire's Second Tale will be up to scratch! Then I'll get down to reviewing my other earlier Canterbury Tales. |
