The story revolves around a lonely man who takes umbrage at his neighbour's kids purloigning apples from his side of the garden fence.
Suffice to say, the woman next door (a single mum) soon discovers the reason behind the man's unneighbourly behaviour, leading almost to a romantic ending - almost! In fact, the ending took quite a bit of de-cheesing to make it less cheesy.
Let's hope I succeeded.
