The story took fifth place in The National newspaper's short story competition last year, so it's a great feeling for the story to get another outing.
As if that weren't enough, I also had a further three items (all articles) in the magazine.
It's good to be able to keep my hand in at writing articles since there aren't that many freelance opportunities here in the UAE.
