Mammoth Book of Jack the Ripper Stories - Cover Revealed

PictureMammoth Book
The cover for The Mammoth Book of Jack the Ripper Stories has been revealed, and it's brilliant. Usually I'm a bit critical of covers - as are most authors - and find something to moan about, but not this time.

A map of London, the Thames running through the centre, Whitechapel and its environs all in hues of orange and yellow, with a mysterious silhouette of JtR topping things off. If only mine was one of the featured names...sigh!

My writers' circle are well impressed too and are threatening to buy a copy each.

Can't wait to get my hands on this little beauty. Roll on November.

PictureIllustrated Police News - Jack the Ripper
Learned a couple of weeks back that the Jack the Ripper story I submitted for The Mammoth Book of Jack the Ripper Tales has been accepted. The tome will be published in November in the UK (Little, Brown & Co.), and in December in the States (Running Press)

To say I'm excited is an understatement.

Funnily enough, news of the acceptance arrived just after I put the finishing touches to my second ever Jack the Ripper story. How strange a coincidence is that?
