The remit was for a story of up to 500 words that took place entirely inside a lift.
Although I didn't win, the feedback from Carl, WF's editor and flash fiction comp judge was invaluable. In a nutshell, the ending was 'a tad' too long, a fact I had wondered about prior to submission. Suffice to say, the ending's been truncated and the story re-submitted with its abbreviated ending.
